CynicLos Posted August 13, 2007 Report Share Posted August 13, 2007 did some searchin and found the stock alt for that car, thers a 42 amp model, and a 63 amp alt. lil too low. im no expert, but try finding a HO alt for the ride cuz. also, do the big 3. you will be surpriced on how much difference it makes then, i would check *after popin in the new alt* if there are big volt drops. if so, add a nice bat to the electrical or upgrade the stock one. hope it helps any '02 Jetta (1) Fi Btl 18 Inch Sub Big box FTW! Iraggi Alternator Posted August 15, 2007 Report Share Posted August 15, 2007 You can do a 200 amp alt for a little over $300 shipped. Thats what I would do. You wouldnt need any batteries if your only going to run a thousand watts. If you did do a battery, I could be a very small one in the back.
