Bass knob and factory head unit question.

When using your factory HU, is it a good idea to use a bass knob for subwoofer level control? I recently sold my sub amp and am looking at getting a new one. Should I be looking for one with a bass knob, or is it necessary?

You don't need one but it is handy, that way you can play your music reasonably loud without disturbing the whole block. So yeah, go for one, but you don't need one.
