I looked around a bit and was getting mixed searches and wanted to be sure I will be getting the correct one.

Now we wanted to replace the stock radio in my moms dodge dakota with a aftermarket one but the issue we are having is that the stock radio has these 2 round pieces, its hard to explain but I think this one would work but not 100% for sure.

In that picture you can see it has the 2 rounded areas like I need but still not for sure.

it doesnt but i guess in these trucks they dont have an acc switch turn on so thats what the harness is for u dont really need it if u know how to wire ur own accessory turn on from like the fuse box etc. thats all it does

I guess the only way to find out if I need a special one is to remove the current one and take a look behind it.

But another issues comes up LOL! How do I removed this stock radio?

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Blue/Red

Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: The radio harness does not provide a switched power source. Run a wire to the fusebox for switched power.

Car Radio Ground Wire: Black

Car Radio Illumination Wire: N/A

Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: N/A

Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A

Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A

Car Stereo Amplifier Location: Located in the passenger kick panel.

Car Audio Front Speakers Size: N/A

Car Audio Front Speakers Location: N/A

Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Green

Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green/Brown

Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Gray

Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray/Brown

Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: N/A

Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: N/A

Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Green/Dark Blue

and try to carefully pry with a flat head screw driver between the highlighted areas that whole cover should come off along with the AC vents start from the corners or edges
