engine noise!?!?

I installed my new alternator today and ran 2 runs of 1/0 from the front to back and added another ground in the back. The aternator is grounded to the batt. Now I have a really loud whinning noise any ideas??

whining noise through where? the speakers? if so, does it vary? like when you hit the gas does the whine get louder/higher pitched?

you have a bad ground some where.. do you have your ground going over your RCA's?

I think the noise is coming from the alt.

It does get louder when you rev the motor.

The rcas are ran on the otherside of the truck.

actully I went under the hood and the alt is makining the same noise I unplugged it and its not making the noise anymore??

Sounds like a bad alt
