Need help with port design, very confused!

When you see that the port length that you entered is 24 inches and in the little green box at the bottom it adds 2 inches to the length you entered, the program is allowing for end correction(half the width of the port(2") is added to the total length).

outer dimensions cannot exceed 28x40x20, thank you tho for actually doing all that work, ive been trying to make the design on sketch up but the program hates me, and the box calc just confuses the hell out of me
