2006 bmw 5 series struggling for bass

hey guys noob here from new jersey. first off if there is anyone in the nj or easter pa area that builds boxes please let me know i need help. local shops around here are butt.

ok i paid a good coin for some of my audio equipment and then some more coin for a local shop to install it all.

equipment 2 componenet sets mtx 4001 series 4 inch speakers 1 inch tweeters (front doors, rear deck)

JL CLEAN SWEEP AND SUMMING UNIT

2 eclipse sw 8010 4ohm svc 10's 700 watts rms each

2 alpine m6 600watts rms to power subs

1 alpine pdx-5 to power 4's at 75 watts each

5th channel on pdx powers sws-8's under the front seats at 150x2 in mono i think(not sure how they wired them)

stock 180amp alt 820cc batt stock

0/1 gauage wire from chasis ground to common grounding post 0/1 g wire from batt tp circut breaker

180amp breaker

current box is .9 cubes per chamber ported ( no clue on the tune frequency) the size is like 15in height 14width 30 lengh )

i first had the sytem in stalled with the 2 10s fireing towards the trunk in a sealed bux built to spec at 1.25 cubes per chamber. had a bueaty panel put in place ,amp rack made and it looked just like my sig.(even tho the pdx-5 replaced that rockford amp) i got the car back and we cranked it up and i heard no bass at all. i could feel it some what and hear it a little bit, but it felt and heard like it was somewhere far away. i was very upset. took car home and tuned it and was just very pissed at the outcome of the install. they had the car for 3 days. took car back and they cut some vents in the rear deck sheet metal and cut out the back seat solid steel baffles to allow the arm rest hole to be completey pass thru. night and day diffrence. but still not what i think 1200 watts should be. so i flipped box around having subs fire thru hole into the cabin. even better! louder, but doesnt hit deep. definalty getting cancelation. kept it like this for a few weeks. my buddy told me to get a ported box. so i just bought a prefab box for 120.00 bux. its a solid box but its small and i knew it was to small, but the guy insisted it would hit harder still.put box in and had subs firing thru armrest again. this box has a slot port in the middle of the 10s. turned it up and was let down. sounded no better. maybe a lil deeper but nothing drastic. wasnt louder either. maybe it was even less loud. flipped box around towrds trunk lid. boom... hits very hard... but the only reason i can do this is because the box is small and it doesnt block the arm rest hole we cut. if i get a bigger box made my hole is going to be completely covered. even this small box blocks most of the hole... so i was thinking of inverting the subs? im really tired of messing with this and its making me broke. can someone tell me what i need to do. eclipse says for ported the subs need at least 1.75cubes. like i said im getting .9 it hits hard now and i like it but im still not happy. sorry for long read

build your own box. i GUARANTEE that you will be louder. prefabs arent meant for practically any woofer and if you build your own box that is 1.75cuft or whatever with the correct amount of port area, it will be a night and day difference.

i would love to if i had tools and somehwere to do it. i live in a apartment. im looking for someone in the area with building skills who can come up with something for me. ive rear people porting there box right thru the rear deck into the car. that sounds fine if the port is clean looking and cover with some sort of grill on the rear deck. but that seems like a complex box build and need some help. the shop around here dont deal with systems that require brain
