VW Golf Mk3 1996 Build From England

Hi guys

First off I have been following the member builds on here for about 3 years and for some reason never made an account. I made an account with the British website TalkAudio and posted my build log (http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=329762). I am just going to copy and paste it into here and hope for some good feedback. It's a small system build that gets loud for what it is. I have been to a few shows and met a lot of people from the forum - videos here - http://www.youtube.com/brilledwards

Anyway enough waffling here is my build:

Hi guys this is my build log for my VW Golf Mk3 1996

I bought a 12" fusion subwoofer, JBL P6550c components and a 3cuft box tuned to 30hz on the 3rd May.

I also won 4 x 17.2 ah batteries for about £5 on ebay

I then passed my driving test on the 5th of May and inherited this car from my mum. This build log is the progress on it (not all sound related)

Here is the car freshly cleaned out

I bought some seat covers from Lidl for about £13 - bargin and some floor mats from Wilkinsons for about £5

You can see the HCl (Honey-comb Laminate) in this one:

I put a zip-tie through the crossover:

Empty tweeter hole:

I ziptied the crossover to the pipe going to the air vent - the hole is the tweeter hole so this is the other side of the passenger airbag, above the back of the glovebox

Threading some new wire for tweeters:

A box of stuff

Soldered the stock wire that ran from the head unit to the tweeter and then on to the speaker so it is now one long wire from the head unit to the speaker:

Doing work:

So I cut the wire coming from the head unit and ran it to the crossover in and then back to go all the way to the speaker
