How many 0g wire runs??

Ok well now tht I'm going with DC subs I will not be getting any of them for Xmas so I'm expecting rolls of 0g! FTW!!

But anyways on my last system I did 4(+) and 4(-)... This go around I wa thinking 5 or 6 each?? And anther huge question I had was what about the grounds is it necessary to do the same amount of ground runs??

The reason I ask this question is bc the big treo engeneering cxt truck with 4- 15" and 4 4000 watt amps and a ton of batteries, I seen him at a show last year and it lots of demos and sat and talked to him for a while... On their truck they had 4 maybe 5 positive runs an 1 negative run and then just used the frame for the rest of the grounds??? Is that a bad idea or what give me sone input guys

Well considering you have 6 power inputs and 6 ground inputs total for the AQ amps, I would run 6 of each, and since you are doing a triple bracket run two off of each alt. That is how I would do it. And it is better for big electrical like what you have to have equal runs of ground with power. And also ground to the frame as well.

I'm going to have 2 D3100's up front and a D5100 up front, so when you guys are saying 6 runs of each... ??

Should I just do the 2 off each alt like you say an then since it will have 3 batteries should I just do 2 to each battery and then on the same battery connection send the runs back to the buss bars in the rear... and then ofcourse run double runs of 0 to connect all the batteries together...?? And then just run double 0 for each terminal on the D3100's in the rear??

Let me know what you guys think bc I dnt think it's completely necessary to run 6 runs to each battery like even if I jumped them off each other like

Alts-- 6 runs-- starting battery-- 6 runs-- extra battery 6 runs-- and other extra battery--6 runs that'd be 12 0g on each battery not includin the big 3 an all the other upgraded grounds etc.. On the starting battery

Well it'd be 12 bc of 6 in and 6 out on positive side so more like 24 per battery including grounds

Do 12 runs thru the truck, 6 power, 6 ground, 2 power 2 ground off each alt to the rear battery bank. The front parrellal all the batts with 2 runs power 2 runs ground, then link all three alts with ONE strand of 0 gauge and hook that to the front bank, if your front bank demands more then 300 amps then do more then 1 run. I am trying to follow why you are putting those underhood, no room in back??? I would put the d3100's in the bed, get them away from heat, cuz they won't do as well under the hood.

Well this is in my suburban build, 9-15" DC audio lvl4XL's = big ass box! Lol I have no room at all in the cargo, I'm putting 2 D3100s up front and a D5100, and in the rear where the factory sub is off to the side I am gutting that and putting a D3100 in there as well...

I'm going to try to do 3 or 4 D3100s in between the box and rear seat?? But I'm not sure if it will go?? But if all else fails I'll loose my spare tire and throw 4 or 6 down there in a rack...

Do the batts, all of them d3100's in the rack where the spare tire is idea. That would be the way I would do it, just sayin....LOL
