If you are louder at a lower frequency, its probably because of the stiff spider. Also if you have tuned your amp lower, that could cause it. I say you should press your hand firmly on the sub. See how far it moves in and play a song that hits low. Start off with the gain low, and slowly increase the gain and lower the subsonic filter. You want it to move a little past where you pushed it with your hand. Then raise the gain and lower the subsonic filter throughout the day.
