diesel_s Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 I have a 2001 Explorer Sport, lowered 3 inches...I want a better ride and someone mentioned to me about converting to a 4-link suspension setup... I've heard of them but I have no clue where to even begin with those things or how much I should be looking to spend.... any ideas? Quote Octane Addiction
white4d96 Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Do you have fabrication skills? If so I think it wouldn't be that hard to make your own. I'm sure you could find writeups online. Quote Too many projects, too little time...

I'm sure you could find writeups online. I got some fabrication skills, I looked up some stuff online and I just get little bits and pieces here and there. Its not like I get a piece of how to do this and that, its the same bits and pieces. Feels like something is missing from the write-ups I've seen. Quote Octane Addiction
JaM Customs aka mprete Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 well you would have to buy a kit or else nothing will be right. even if your a fabricator, your not and engineer. but they are very simple set ups. look at pictures of prefabed race cars that have a 4-link just to get an idea of what you will be getting in to. also, if you want a better ride..... then dont buy a ford.....lol.... or an suv for that matter.... but really try to find some softer coil springs or something.
