what do these settings on my amp actually do.. yes ive read the manual but it just gives a brief description about what it does with the speaker frequencies..and im still kinda confused.. ive had a systems for years but only being 20 y/o i was pretty unknowledgable untill recently when i started to take more interest in car audio and wna kno how exactly how my shit works lol..

how should i set these? is it dif. for each vehicle?

It depends on your set up, subsonic filters out frequencies that are to low for you to play, and low pass filters out frequencies you don't want your subs to play(assuming we're talking about a sub amp). in my case I leave my subsonic all the way down at 10 iirc and my low pass at 85ish, so anything below 10hz will decrease dramatically in amplitude as well as anything above 85hz. if you give info about your setup I'm sure someone could tell you a safe range, and you could set it to your liking from there.

ive got a 15 fi bl an aq2200d and its in the trunk of my impala in a box i built bymyself.. as far as what the box is tuned to idk /= , i just built it ported it didnt worry about tune( i never took the time to learn how to tune to a certain frquency)
