Need some help building a box for a HCCA 12.2

Hey everyone im Joe and im new to this site and i need some tips on building an spl enclosure for my HCCA 12.2 thats going into my 91 toyota pickup extra cab. I have built couple of boxes for this sub but i still feel like there is more potential. Please hit me up with some feedback.....i just wanna design this box for a daily driver/spl set up.....what do you guys recommend?

well, what kind of music you like the most? i also asked you about your old boxes so i can have an idea on how that sub perform on those box sizes, i´ve never designed something for that sub, but, something like 2.5 - 3 cubic feet and 38-45 SQ of port with a 35 hz tuning should play very nice!!

Cool......when I get off of work ill post up the dimensions of my back seat of my xtra cab....then it can give you an idea of what I'm working with.....but yup 2.5 to 3 cubes sounds cool....one of my older boxes I made was 3.8cubes with a slot port tuned to 33 but the weight of the hcca destroyed the 1/2 inch mdf.....so yah thanks for the feedback

WTF? 1/2" wood??? no way man, you need to go with at least 3/4" and brace it at least some, that sub is not only heavy, it´s loud as hell on a proper box!

still a piece of shit wood for a box hahaha, i´ve never built a box with smaller wood than 3/4" , nice sub by the way!!!
