I have no idea about amperage draw or anything. run your amps at .5 don't forget to make your my amps blew up and I have no idea why post when done. But I kno what I can do because I've done it 150 amps of fusing strapped at 2ohm DAILY fuses are capable of handling a lot more than what they are rated for. when you have a short, you are pulling thousands of amps through the fuse and thats when it pops. to really run 7k with only 150 amps, youd need to modify the amplifier to run @ around 45 volts DC. 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You are going to have the high current draw regardless. You cant dial it down with the amperage o meter. Its going to happen. Running them strapped at one ohm presents a .5 ohm load to each amp. since they are rated at 380 amps of current draw at 1 ohm and you just halved your resistance again sending current draw up. You can't get around it. Sure impedence rise will factor into it as well and there are alot of people that do it. And alot of people that blow shit up doing it. If you are going to have that much current draw why not get bigger amps and run them at their rated impedence? You may be trying to stay in class but who knows. eventually you are going to blow something prematurely. maybe your amp will protect maybe it wont. maybe it will smoke from undervoltage or maybe youll send one nasty square wave to your woofers and launch a coil. Regardless what I say you're going to do it anyways so have at it. Yea amps may endure premature wear so what I don't bang all day everyday full tilt.
