Box Design for one 15

Recommended Posts

I'm going to be ordering a 15" BTL N2 within the next week or so and I'm trying to figure out which way is the better way to go with a box. I was looking at some prefab but none really caught my eye.

It's going in a 04 Tahoe, Not trying to use the whole trunk.

Possibly 40Wx18Hx22D as the Dimensions.

Anyone give me some ideas? Thanks

EDIT: Going to be running 2000-2200wrms.

Something like that?

Need a LOT more port area per cubic foot. You should be aiming at 12-16 sq in per cube.

Also make sure you take into account how many "common walls" your port will have i.e. walls shared by the exterior of the enclosure & the port. If you are doing one at the bottom of the box facing back, one common port wall. Not a whole big problem, but it helps.

If I were you, I'd go with something like a 12w x 8h port or something along those lines. Just make sure there's enough clearance between the port wall & the sub.

POTATO!
