I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

That's an NZXT Phantom, it's actually quite a nice case, and it offers excellent cable management. Ever heard the saying "Don't knock it till you try it"? Anyway, hifonics, if you give me your overall budget I can help you pick out the parts for a desktop.

Even still. With all of those applications running, you would never see more than 5~6GB in use at a time, unless you got a laptop using Shared Video memory and you were linking over a 1GB to your on-board GPU.

Even currently with FFXIV, you can't breach 8GB in use.

I remember back in the days when I ran World of Warcraft, AIM, and Winamp with a Pentium III 1.0 GHZ processor with 1 GB Ram and dual 20GB hard drives.

Kids these days are just spoiled.

You don't need an i7 980X for that kinda usage. Give me a concrete budget to work with.

You really don't but damn if you can afford it GET IT!

I would get a Asus Rampage 3 extreme,i7 950, GTX570, corsair,antec,thermaltake 850w PSU,8gb of G-Skill PI.

And a Coolermaster HAF 932 case.

And like a OCZ vertex 2 120gb SSD.

That's probably around 1500

Rest In Peace mother.
