dangerick18 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Hi I have a 2001 Chrysler 300m and I have a few questions: 1) I want to run my own wire into the front door's cause my stock system is 2-ohm and @ the stock gauge it would only support 30w cleanly @ 4ohms. I already took off everything that I need to in order to take off the dash, because as far as I understand that's the only way to get to the front door jams. It's really been delaying the progress and I wanna do the front doors all in one block of time now that I have almost everything else disassembled. Has anyone had experience with this car and have any sort of tips? 2) Also I have a question about the rear deck.. I'm going to be mounting two 6x9's on top of the rear deck on 3/4" MDF and bolt them down... And I'm curious whether I should be closing off the holes on the bottom of the rear deck in the following picture: 3) Do you guys recommend any good sites with information on a stock alarm system? dangerick18 Posted January 5, 2011 Author Report Posted January 5, 2011 OK I have an update today... I found a way to run the front speaker wires through a doorjam. I also removed the piece of crap factory amp which also happened to be bolted kinda loosely anyways so I bet it rattled. Anyways I never realized what a pain in the ass it is to be tall and have big hands, even in a long car. I'm still tryin to get your opinions on if I should cover up the rear deck. I imagine it would sound better with them covered?
