bmph8er Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 ok im currently planning on 3 level 4 18s in my xcab truck. but im sorta rethinking it before i get to far into it and selling my level 4s and ordering 2 xls. surely the 3 lvl 4s should be about as good as 2 xls right? id hope with more cone area. i dont even have my amp yet and im already thinking about changing subs. Autruche Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 I'll tell you this, cone area is king. my friend has one 18 inch lvl 5 on 3200 watts and we met a guy that has the same power, but 4 15 inch kicker L7s (same vehicle even) and his was much louder than my friends. bmph8er Posted January 5, 2011 Author Report Posted January 5, 2011 thats why i cant make my mind up. box would be much easier with 2 xls but the same time 3 lvl 4s would look better and most people nvr run 3 plus cone area. i think i should stop tryn to change stuff all the time and get to work but way 2 cold to be cuttin wood lol.
