Halloween: The Movie

Just went and saw this last night! It was ok, not really as scary as it was suspense. Kinda gory...anybody else seen it and how do u think it compares to the past Mike Myers films...

I just saw this thread. I really enjoy some of the older horror films. Halloween was particularly a favorite of mine. I am really curious to see what this remake will bring. I have a feeling that it will be a let down, most remakes are, but who knows. One of my favorite things about the original Halloween was that Michael Myers was hardly seen until right at the end. When he was involved it was usually first person pov or there were just quick glimpses of an arm, or a dark shape lurking in the shadows, but that was it. Of course the first person camera pov is kind of out these days so I have a feeling they won't be duplicating that.

As a general rule I don't watch movies in the theatre but I might try to make time for this one.

I might be going to see it tonight if I do ill be sure to post a reply. Kinda looks good, i personally liked the newer texas chainsaw massacres better than some of the old leatherface movies but thats just my opinion. I dont think ill like this one better than the originals. I can just imagine if Rob Zombie made another 10 halloweens or however many there were. lol
