Audio-Concepts
Im not exactly sure, Ray designed the enclosure to get a tune of mid high 20's, which ended at a flat tune of around 29 hz. The vented port is 12" H x 2.5" W x 30" L I am wanted a flat tune for more of an SQ standpoint, which is what the sub was originally designed for. But now the sub is going to be more SQL, hopefully handling between 1k & 2k watts, and still be efficient enough to play music in the range of classic instrumental to underground rap. I have a vast range of music and not really interested in the peaky higher tunes just for numbers! Audio-Concepts
I have decided to run either an AQ1200 or AQ2200, depending on the rms handling of the sub after recone! Most likely as a temporary setup I will run the 1200, just to get some bass back in the ride! Audio-Concepts
Another update: As I wait for my sub, which will prolly just be getting to Forevrbumpn, yesterday or today, I have been doing a lot of research on sound deadener and closed cell foam for eliminating the oodles of vibration with my old 500 watt setup! In which I have sent an email to Don @ SDS (Sound Deadener Showdown) for info on pricing for 50 sq ft of CLD tiles and a sheet of Closed cell foam! Hoping to possibly order this and get the ride vibration free! 94retta(219)
Only reason i asked is because im also TRYING to building a sq set up for my dad. Audio-Concepts
Hey I dont care, I wanted a lower tune around 22-25, but port noise was gonna be an issue, so the 29 htz is the lowest I could get with out making a huge enclosure and losing my trunk all together. As long as I can still fit 2 sets of golf clubs im happy! Lol!
