dfarres
Nice work on the system. I can dig all the old school stuff, my first system was in 1987 back when I had a cassette deck. lol
Audio-Concepts
Thanks bro! I love the older stuff, its when quality of product meant something, along with longevity! Audio-Concepts
Well there hasnt been to much going on lately with the build, had a long week of work, plus spending time with my wife and son (quality time is a must). But I have bought the LED's for the trunk cleanup and have been tossing around ideas for installing the Alesis. I have also thought of running without a processor for now just to get some idea of what I need to really focus on. Also, having an issue with the thermal fans on the Tru amp, they dont want to turn off! So tomorrow I am going to buy a relay and try to hard wire them to turn on with the remote wire, so that they turn off, cause Lord only knows how much thats going to run me! But tomorrow I plan to get some work done on the panel and hopefully start the smoothing stage before paint. Audio-Concepts
My LED's came in!! 8 strips each has 15 LED's! Should be plenty bright enough for what I want! Audio-Concepts
Well I did some more with the beauty panels, this is just a mock up, so bear with me! My previous sections were only 3/4" deep, but with me wanting to put plexi over the areas, I didnt have enough room to clear the fuses. So now the areas are 1 3/4" deep, and have recesses for the LED's to fit. Quick test fit in the car! Now all the areas that will be lit up can be seen! Tomorrow I will start the cleanup process, filling holes, and smoothing out the recessed areas! Audio-Concepts
Well still in mock up phase, but I smoothed out the screw holes where the amps mount and got my 1/4" acrylic cut to size, and test fit! Acrylic mounted for outer beauty panel measurements! Tomorrow I will make the front panels that will cover the front panel and clean up the look completely! Audio-Concepts
Well started the rebuild of the rear panel after my failure! Same design for the amps, but the fuse area is now different! Tomorrow will be a more productive day! Gonna get the main panel remade, both housings mounted and the amp rack area smoothed! Prolly even get the amps wired, get the convertor wired and figure out its mounting.
