bmph8er Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 i have a 01 seirra so i cant fit a double din without some cutting and im feeling lazy and im looking at flip outs. would a decent flip out handle 3 dc audio level 4 18s with around 3000 to 3500 rms on them? im just worried about having it open and breaking the hinges or the disc drive. i had a few pioneer 5000s bust the disc drive with my 6 memphis pr 15s just not wanting to throw my money away on a flip out if its not going to last. 2001 gmc seirra 5.3 auto 3.73 locked rear, long tube headers, offroad y pipe, duals, cai, black bear tune, 2/4 drop, 22s, rockford fosgate mods and highs and 4 ab hd 15s and a ab 750.1 1995 civic 1.5 auto slower then hell, dropped on coil overs, ex hub caps, 2 12 trunk, have 450 bucks in the car and gets 35 mpg 1992 s10 being bagged, shaved, and small stereo. right now a pile of parts

I had a Sony deck with a flip out face, I only lasted a few months. zayres29 Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 i wouldnt risk it with a flip out personally i would suck it up and cut up the dash and fiberglass it in remember hard work always pays off in the end Btw that was the first person.
