fecupe2001 Posted July 25, 2011 Author Report Share Posted July 25, 2011 Yes, you have to measure it with a DMM, disconnect the RCA from the sub´s amplifier input rca, set the HU volume where you always play it, take the negative of the dmm to the round base of the rca wire, take the positive of the dmm to the tip of the rca wire and set the DMM at ac volts 20 or the lowest you can set since you ain´t seeing more than 2v if you are lucky I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. REVpuggie Posted July 25, 2011 Report Share Posted July 25, 2011 PVC is pretty sticky , paint it on the inside and then polish/wax it supersmooth . put the outer flare on a baffle for better airflow (different sizes can be tested) and secure the wood to the floor of the car against resonance of the port itself . bracing the port on the outside for added structural strength could also help .
