JordanSchumaker Posted January 27, 2011 Report Share Posted January 27, 2011 Ok so i have made up my mind on what i am going to get in my car. Two Audioque sdc2.5-12's and the AQ1200D amp. What i need help on is the box, i have decided i want a ported box and i know that requires a lot space so how much space would those two subs need in the box? Could you reccomend me a good box for these subs? And as for the wiring, could i just go to best buy and pick up an amp installation kit that has everything i need to hook up the subs and amp? I have done some reading and i saw that there is different kinds of wire like 10 gauge 8 gauge and so on. Does it matter which kind of wire you use? And last thing. Should i try to install it all like wire everything and install the subs in the box, all that good stuff? or should i just pay the extra money to get someone who knows what theyre doing to do it? I was thinking about bestbuy but i have done some research on their installations and i have not been impressed and the more i hear about them from real car audio people(people on this forum) who know their stuff it makes me want to stay away from them more but i figure they know a whole lot more than me in this area but then the horror stories come back into my head. Im kinda stuck on what to do because i have never installed anything related to car audio. Is it too complicated for a 16 year old?
