timtim146 Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Alright guys so i am getting 2 Audioque hdc3 12s and i am going to be running them on an audiopipe 3000d. My dilemma is that the 3000d is pretty much 2 1500s strapped. The 3000d is either 3000 watts bridged @ 2ohms or 1500 watts x2. So my question is should i get the dual 2ohm AQs run them in series and bridge them to the amp, or get 2 dual 1ohm AQs and run one sub to each channel. Just curious im sure the subs would sound better at 2 ohms but im going for SPL so which ever setup would be louder will be what i will get! thanks for any info guys! Also has anyone ever had real experience with the 3000d's? My plan at first was to get 2 Soundstream dtr1.1700d's but i hear the audiopipes are better but thanks guys! any help is appreciated! Quote

skittlesRgood Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 it wont overheat. running at 2ohm strapped, each amp still sees 1ohm. but an amp is more efficient running alone, plus impedance rise, you will be better off at 1ohm.
