slim8605
I keep hearing this noise going into my sub even with the music off and head unit turned all the way down. I tried turning everything down on the amp and it was lower but I could still hear it. Then the more I turned the gain up the louder it got. It was loud until the point where my car was flexing. I got the same thing with two different amps so I dont think that is the problem. I unplugged one of the RCAs and it was a little quieter but it could still be heard. Could it be a bad set of RCAs or maybe the RCA output from the head unit? NordicDude
Try taking a wire from your right channel rca ( dont have to be right) and but it on the connector and put the new wire on the chassie of the cd player! Bad grounded RCA`s suck! Try it out, had the same problem in the car that a bud of mine own! Did that and it cleared it tight up! FieroGrande
it might also be a bad ground.............but it sounds like the rcas
slim8605
The RCAs that I have now are a cheap Power Acoustiks pair thats I've had for a few years. I'll prolly end up ordering some new ones anyway but I'll check to make sure thats the problem. KckrL5s
Happened to me when I first installed my subs. Went through everything but the RCAs, and it ended up being them, switched it out for some new RF ones and it went away. Quote 2009 spring fling-iasca-rookie 1-Champion. 139.4db. Team Bass in Your Face
Check the ground for sure. Be sure the ground is mounted to the frame, and that you've stripped the paint off all the way to the metal.
IH8PunkRok
so many people dont strip the paint from the metal also is the sound like a popping or a low hum?
