thegr8cody Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 what im thinking about doing is running a 7 or 8" dayton refernce in the doors for my speakers,but running them off the amp on hpf with out a cross over,im new to cross overs and dont know a thing so i was thinking just run them off the amp and mess around with the settings on the amp and head unit,will that work its gonna be a 2 stage up front the speakers in the doors and tweeters in the pillars? 1998 gmc sierra h/u:eclipse cd3200 sub:dd9518g d1.5 amp:jl e300/4 sub amp:dd m2a front stage:id ctx65cs dc power 270 alt lots of kicker 1/0
01xtreme Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 my 7"s are running with the HPF set to 80Hz. sound good. sound like you want the same setup as me (for the most part) My tweeters are in the dash, but other than that its pretty close. My System: Pioneer AVH-P3200BT 4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors) 8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash) 1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs) 2-18" BTL's (for now) Crescendo 3kwp (for sale) Complete rebuild coming soon...
