Trâgîk Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 My buddy is in the market for a new alternator and asked me what i used and sAid he was looking at some places and asked about Quality Power Auto Alternators. I had never heard of them but i had called because it didnt have numbers on thier site and from what he said they didnt sound to bad at all, 180A at idle(320A alt) is good if you ask me and the price was comparable to the big names. So my question is has anybody used these or know anything about them? -----SELLING EVERYTHING---- 2 DC sound labs 3.5k's (still avail) 2 HDC312A D1's (still avail) 5 XS Power Batteries (1 d3400 and 1 d1200 left) 4 runs of knukoncepz 0 gauge (have all the wire still) DC power 270XP alt (sold) RF T1 6.5 components (both sold) Powerbass XAX 4160 (still avail) Custom built box 4.75^3 tuned 34hz (still avail)
EclipseChris Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Change the title of this thread. Made me thing a noob was asking for a good quality alt company. No i have never heard of that company, and don't believe numbers unless its a result of a good quality alt tester. i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Eclipse build Old New V-Dub My feedback.
Rebel4055 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 If there tester is like a auto zones tester or something like that, their results are complete crap. A tester like mechmans is beast. Rest In Peace mother. January 22, 1955 - February 14, 2013 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/user/35351-megrch/

A tester like mechmans is beast. Exactly, thats why i was asking if anyone heard of them...they do ambulances and all that crap. Just a question, trying to do some research for my friend. Im tryi g to get him on DCs bandwagon but, again, people would rather pay less for a unproven product. -----SELLING EVERYTHING---- 2 DC sound labs 3.5k's (still avail) 2 HDC312A D1's (still avail) 5 XS Power Batteries (1 d3400 and 1 d1200 left) 4 runs of knukoncepz 0 gauge (have all the wire still) DC power 270XP alt (sold) RF T1 6.5 components (both sold) Powerbass XAX 4160 (still avail) Custom built box 4.75^3 tuned 34hz (still avail)
bassface Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 has anyone used this type of alternator yet, They make a 300 amp alternator for my car and dc power doesnt even list my car, mechman only makes a 220 amp for my car. So I am bringing up this old thread wondering if anyone has tried them since the last post.
