now for the question is will this plug work for the amp?

also it has some buttend connector on the power and ground. I dont feel confident enough to pull the board out and re-solder some new wire. any of you guys got suggestions for that?

If it's worth building, it's worth over building.

Just man up and do it. You can solder if you just be patient and take it easy. Or take the wire and cut behind the butt connector and install a fuse holder. Replacing the wire is a better option imo. And you could use some sweet Sky High wire to do it.
