fyerbyrd22
is it safe to add 2 rubber spring spacers to each spring? right now I have one on each but when the system goes back in, it still drops a good amount...custom springs are $460 for my car and no one makes an airbag kit either...2013 kia sorento personal build in progress http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188656-2013-kia-sorento-6-12-no-wall/ www.facebook.com/TurbulentDesigns
Broke_Audio_Addict
If you're referring to the coil spring isolator's no it is not ok to do that. You can get metal or polyurethane spacers for around $100. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Polar
I personally wouldn't put more than one set at a maximum in a spring. 2000 Ford Ranger Sport Ext Digital Designs DD915J 4.91 net birch box, inch port @ 33hz FSD FZ2600 FSD FZ100.4 Pioneer DEH80PRS PRV Audio 6MB200-4 6-1/2" Midbass Woofers Tymphany BC25SC08-04 1" Silk Dome Neodymium Tweeters with Waveguide

fyerbyrd22
why would it ride poorly?..isnt this the same thing essentially as having custom springs made to handle the weight so it doesn't sag?...in terms of limiting the spring from moving personal build in progress http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188656-2013-kia-sorento-6-12-no-wall/ www.facebook.com/TurbulentDesigns

fyerbyrd22
how so?..i understand the custom spring would be designed for the weight but with the amount of weight im putting in, im not gonna snap a spring lol..can you explain why its different??..never put this much weight in a car before personal build in progress http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188656-2013-kia-sorento-6-12-no-wall/ www.facebook.com/TurbulentDesigns
Polar
Ive seen those spacers come flying out of spring sunder heavy loads. Plus they are not designed to last forever. They throw off the spring compression rate as well. 2000 Ford Ranger Sport Ext Digital Designs DD915J 4.91 net birch box, inch port @ 33hz FSD FZ2600 FSD FZ100.4 Pioneer DEH80PRS PRV Audio 6MB200-4 6-1/2" Midbass Woofers Tymphany BC25SC08-04 1" Silk Dome Neodymium Tweeters with Waveguide
