Well the old wall lasted all of 4 months, best score was 149dB on termlab (4 gt5 12's on a hifonics bxi2608D)... now I want it louder and lower!

System will consist of...

2 DC sound lab Level 5 18's, dual 0.7ohm coils

4 Sundown SAZ-1500D's

6 6V Choloride 3vb11 AGM batteries 100ah each, been told they were tested to do more like 130ah.

1 Hawker Genesis 42ah up front.

180a alternator

Alpine IDA-100 headunit

Knuknceptz cable

4 JBL 6x9's in custom doorcards (will be swaping soon)

Kicker KX800.2 powering the doors

Materials

10 4'x8' Sheets of 18mm mdf

10 Cans of expanding foam

4 Tubes of Pink grip

Lots of screws

Fibreglass matting and Resin

PU glue

And probably loads more as it build goes on.

Heres how it stands atm

Pink gripped 3" strips of 18mm to the roof.... had to kurf cut it to get it to bend.

18mm mdf cut to shape. Holes drilled through it for expandy foam.

IMAG0237.jpg

Jacked up to give a bend then screwed to the 3" strips then filled with 3 cans of foam.

Started on the floor once the roof was in.

Pink gripped 2" strips of 18mm to the floor to bring it up to level with the boot section.

Pink gripped the flat boot section.

Covered the floor with 1 and a half cans of foam and placed the mdf down and filled edges with foam.

Sealed up nice

Got the second sheet of 18mm mdf cut and fit into place today. Roof is solid now so no need for Mr brill Edward to lie on my roof when testing lol. Only down fall is as I glued a strip to the middle, as the expanding foam expanded its pulled my roof down so I now have a wavy roof

Your gonna need a much bigger alt or multiple for that system. I have a 180 and im only doing 3500-400. And i have voltage drop. Your planning on 6000-8000? Id take that into consideration

you more batteries that why you have voltage drop. I'm running a SAZ 3k @ .25 with a yellow top and 2 Kinetik 2400 on a stock 90 amp alt. With no voltage drop.

12.5 is voltage drop.... if its not sitting at 14+ then you have voltage drop.... thats what the 12v car systems charge at LOL

Yea you definately have voltage drop. I have 2 kinetiks as well. Your 1 yellow top over me isnt keeping your voltage up. Besides that my point was he is trying to run 6 SAZ-1500 off a 180amp alt. He needs a much bigger alt or 2.
