cunokyle
Ok, so I had a previous thread where I built a box for a friend and I failed to follow the plans correctly. Ended up tuning to 20hz with 32 in^2 of port instead of the intended 64. Going to do another box and have some numbers, just posting them up quick to get some input and suggestions. This design will actually be a bit smaller for total volume but quite a bit more port area. Will be pushing around 2200watts rms into the system. These are external dimensions: 42" x 24" x 18" Port dimensions: 12" x 8" x 18.25(length)" I figure this should put the box at a tad over 7 ft^3 after port and sub displacement tuned to ~35hz. The top will be double layered(not included in above dimensions) and there will be some bracing inside. Plan on putting the port at the similar to a previous build. That designed worked great because the port helped to brace the back side of the back and I was able to use the port walls to run bracing to the sides of the box.Any suggestions or recommendations before beginning the build Saturday?
