  1. Honestly...I doubt you would even be able to use the N3 to full potential. Definitely not supergauss. Problem that many people are not seeing yet is that there is simply too much motor strength on tap and they lose their peak...you can get a higher qts woofer that shifts to peak higher and harder then one with a low qts and gobs of motor strength in a low pressure environment. (ie: non extreme spl)
  2. Yep they do..they buy something and have to have it NOW. ..not like that with us man
  3. Not hardly man.. You place your order, it goes on our server on website. Office gets a ticket, build shop gets a ticket, machine shop gets a ticket, and packaging dept gets a ticket. From there the machine shop grabs our raw forgings and puts them in one of the cnc's depending on what is ordered according to what option. Then it hits a lathe. Then a pole piece is machined depending on if you got cooling or not.. Here's a video that explains it as well as a few other things..
  4. Ladies/Gents, Some good friends of mine from college are in a competition for a Dream Wedding giveaway. They are in the running with a local radio station to have their dream wedding given to them if they get enough votes. The final round of voting starts today!!! They finished the second round in first place thanks to everybody's vote! Please vote for #10, Tiffany Phelps and Joseph Nichols I promise you are not going to get spam email or anything from entering your information. It is simply to keep people from 'cheating'. Please only vote once per round. I do not want them to get DQ'd. http://www.wvhl.net/wedding%20promo%20stage%202/vote_round_1.htm Click that, vote #10! Thank you so much! -Nick
  5. last day for round 2 vote vote vote!
  6. Waiting on magnets.. I think we've got nearly 90 motors sitting waiting for magnets. Supposed to be in on Wednesday and they will be put together from there.

It is going in 3 rounds so I will update the thread with their stuff as time passes. This is the second of two rounds! They are in second right now and have to be in the top 3 to advance. 8. Depends on how silly you get with the controls.. If you abuse things, you're going to burn it up. Speakers only do what you tell them to do in the environment that you place them in.
  9. Go on the website, order a recone kit and basket for the appropriate size recone. (select "YES" to whatever basket size you need), and select 'YES' to "send in sub?" Box the motor up (see packaging tutorials on here) and send it into us with all of your contact information and a copy of your order receipt and order number from the website.
  10. Don't have your subsonic filter set properly...spiders will pop like a potato chip if you yank the parts to full excursion below tuning.
  11. I'll argue. Don't tune it that high or you are going to shred the spiders due to playing below tuning. /argument. 33Hz for daily driving, get midbass drivers with some balls if you want "high bass" instead of trying to make a subwoofer play higher than 80Hz...top end of my sub rolls off at 56Hz
  12. 1/4" is too big. I'm pretty sure I used 10-32 or 8-32 the last box I built. I can't remember.
  13. Should still have a solution for you. Email me.
  14. Asking what box it needs to work in is precisely why it is no longer available for a car audio company. IB is infinite baffle, as in the world is its box. It is not a "low power alternative" to slap into a ported or sealed or bandpass enclosure. It has a VERY long coil and only 1 spider, the Qts is aimed for IB use. It is not meant to be loud or jar fillings out of your teeth, which is what some people were attempting to do. Then they would yell at us because they broke their sub when they put it in a box on a 1000 or 1500 watt amp... HT is Home Theater. Which is really what an IB woofer is marketed for, not for really putting in a car unless you have a very strict SQ car. It is NOT meant to be 'loud' in any sense of the term, it is intended to be transparent.
  15. It will eventually break and need a recone... If it isn't already making noise.
  16. It was pulled off of the website, IB3 is going to a new HT oriented company as people kept trying to buy them and stick them in ported or sealed boxes because it "is only a 550 watt sub".
  17. Yep you need to turn your subsonic filter up. That only happens if you are slamming things past linear limits below your port tuning frequency with either no subsonic filter, or one that is set wrong according to your box.
  18. I wouldn't run any sub tuned higher than 33Hz daily driving...you are going to have to turn your subsonic filter way up so you do not shred the sub below tuning.
  19. Depends on how much power you plan on running... You have to calculate your displacements as well. Either post the dimensions or use the basic geometry formula of length x width x height / 1728 to figure out how much volume the port is taking up.
