  1. I live in Louisiana but traveled to SF a handful of times and have fallen in love with the city. Going over the gate always puts a smile on my face. Love the smell of the fresh air and weather there. Not to mention the bad ass wineries. Thanks for the POV I felt like I was ridin b in the back seat.
  2. Sounds good I am curious to see how much a difference it will be. It should make the bass more creamy and roll off better right? I see there are tons of different opinions out there about poly and never tried it myself.
  3. Looking forward to hearing how you like them :-) They slam. Great response on the low end and they get loud. Eye flutter and nose itch from the pressure off 3 sealed in a sedan w/ no fold down seat im happy. I'd say about 20% louder than the RE with close to the same SQ. Since they are running .90 cube without factoring displacement you think they will benefit more by adding some polyfill or should I just leave it alone?
  4. Just bought 3 IVXv2 12's based off what I have heard on this thread. I'll let you how how they compare to the 3 RE SRX 12's
  5. Well, if I can get some efficient subs that will move on the power 1000bd I think 3 sound better than 2 sealed. 2 ported may have been tight but doable which i kinda regret not considering as much. I am doing .90 cubes ea. I spent a lot of time and effort building my box for the 3 RE's I just had to send back and i'd rather not get rid of the box I just built. http://s23.postimg.org/51793ce1n/REAudio1.jpg I think RE is awesome but I don't have faith in the quality due to the lead issues I had to deal with. I think my previous post got deleted too. I was just showing the hard black stuff on the RE leads that caused them to keep breaking. This brand came to my attention because I needed something around the price, woven leads, and air space. Thanks for all the input I really appreciate it.
  6. I have been out of the audio game a while and decided to get back in. I am trying to ball on a budget. I recently bought 3 RE Audio SRX 12's and got burned with the purchase. The sub was good but the tinsel leads were made out of crap. Total garbage tinsel leads. They sounded good before the leads broke. I bought them through sonic so now I am getting a store credit and was looking at the Skar Audio IVX v2 12's D4. I can't find much info about these on the net from other people. Looks like the leads are woven into the spider which is good. My main question is about pushing them. I have a Rockford Fosgate Power 1000bd that I was planning on running at 2.67 ohms on 3 12's. I guess they may see about 300 watts a piece. I want a good mix of SQ and SPL for a woofer around this price range. Will this amp be able to produce that on these 3? If they aren't going to do much on 300 watts I don't want them. I want to add that they will be sealed as ported is out of the question with the space I am using.
