These kits that sell for 2 grand say that they are the exact replacements for OEM cadillac parts. I know all gmc/chevy trucks, denalis/escalades are all the exact same with different badging. Would it be possible to find an excalade or a denali at a junk yard that was totalled in the rear, and just pull the hood, fenders, bumper, and grill/headlight assemblies, and it just bolt up?

Your on the rigth track gear wise. now get someone who knows what they are doing to help you install.

and distortion mixed with dirty power wich is robably what happened in his case.

First off, the amp didnt blow the subs b/c of too much power. If anything not enough power, and underpowereing doesnt kill subs, so that theory is ruled out. You probably had them wired wrong. That should have blown the amp, and not the subs though. You were on the right track with kicker subs, but you need a better amp, and make sure it is wired to the correct ohm load. ie: if you have 2 dual 4ohm woofers,then you would need an amp that puts out its rated power at 1ohm.

Steve, have you thought about trying anything like this behind the back doors on the wall?Not the whole vertical door thing, just a glassed in 20" lcd on each side, with some comps in it.

90% of this computer was acquired in a trade. but the hdd was 85, and the pretty stuff was 60ish shipped.
