  1. Do you like chocolate? 'Cause I got half a bar. Full cream milk! You got over three hundred bones in your body. Want another one? Those two got me slapped Cheers, Mick
  2. Welcome my man. Trust me, you'll like it here. Cheers, Mick
  3. Clipping indicators are built into the ampifier, if they have one at all. Clipping indicators detect when the signal become distorted in the output stage of your amplifier. That distortion gives you a square, clipped wave that puts out more power than the speaker and amplifier can handle. It is a dirty, unclean and damaging waveform. You would be hard pressed to find a PA amplifier (the rackmount type) without clip LEDs for both channels. Chances are if the amp doesn't have a clip indicator circuit, that's the end of the story. But, if you are good with electrics and have a hand with soldering, you could build one yourself but prepare to be hackin' yo amp up a bit. My advice is make sure yo system got compressors and limiters. You set the max volume and it ain't going any higher than that. Cheers, Mick
  4. Big P, I ain't even gonna ask how you got that info mang..........Looks like someone knows their way around a keyboard. Cheers, Mick
  5. mE's got a girlfriend that does that shit.....FUCK THAT......how do you cope mang? Alpine comes back to the forum under a different name and does the exact same shit.....FUCK THAT Some people just don't learn aye. Cheers, Mick
  6. Yo Big P, what is it with you and guys nuts bro? J/p mang, but that soup can is just feral. Damn. Cheers, Mick
  7. Becuase mp3 is a compressed format, you cannot identify the lowest note without spectrum analysis. Get Spectrum Lab off the net, to my knowledge it's free. That'll give you a readout of the song in real time, as it's played. Great for finding problems with systems or resonances too. I can't praise it enough, it's packed full of features. http://www.qsl.net/dl4yhf/spectra1.html Takes a little bit of know-how and common sense to set it up, but once it's up it's gold. Cheers, Mick
  8. Easily the best forum out there. You've got everything from air ride suspension to the American inflation rate! Props to Steve for making SMD forums, props to everyone on here for being so damn good to newbies like myself. Cheers, Mick

I've had a few family members affected by cancer in the last few years, so I know what you feeling dude. Like many have said Chode, stay strong. Be there for her, show her that no matter what, you'll support her. I ain't no Christian or religious at all, but damn I'll be down on my hands and knees praying for your mother every night bro. Godspeed to a quick recovery, and just remember bro; SMD got your back man, you ain't alone in this walk. Cheers, Mick

  13. Burrito, nah man I've never even seen the snow. Where I live in Queensland the summers hit 40 celcius and the winters hit 30. I'd love to see the snow one day, may as well roll over to some of the mad mountains you guys have in the US. Check out all the sweet rides while I'm over there too. I wouldn't take Meade snowboarding though, his ride'l start an avalanche on the way up Cheers, Mick
  14. Sup guys? I'm Mick McDonald, hailing all the way from the east cost of Australia. I joined the forum about five minuets ago, but have been reading for a while. Steve got me hooked on SMD through watching every one of his videos on youtube in a row. Dude, that shit is off the hook man. I'm more into concert sound systems than car systems and I've been putting together my PA system for a year or two now, she's getting pretty big. But no matter how large a line array is or how loud a horn stack can be, NOTHING is quite like a car that hits 150+. That's nuts man, crazy. I see a lot of slammin' systems on this site guys, props to all the brothers here. Cheers, Mick
