Big 3...bypassing The Fuse Box?
w87will replied to w87will's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
So it really wouldnt hurt anything? I cant see how it would. Was kinda wondering also if anyone has done it? Probably not tho I guess, since the more wire the better. -
Big 3...bypassing The Fuse Box?
w87will replied to w87will's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Cool thanks. One more question, what reason, other than selling the vehicle later on and maybe losing just "alittle" more power, is it not a good idea to take out the stock wiring? Mine is all tied together in one harnes that could easily be removed and replaced with 1/0. I guess Im not going to do that, I just want to know why keep it in? -

First of all, thanks for the replys, very helpfull. Ok here's what I think im going to do: Keep my stock wiring, haha. then Ill just pick up one of those 1/0 "T's" and run from my battery to the T then Ill put my 1/0 amp wire in one end and then the pos to alt in the other, then Ill obviously do the grounds and everything. Sounds good to me... will that work? -
Big 3...bypassing The Fuse Box?

Im pretty sure I can just take out my harness in one piece. then Just run 0 gauge in its place that way I'd be able to just put it back in if needed. just the whole pos to fuse/relay is confusing me. Im sure it needed to be ran there, but is 8 gauge enough or would it have to also be 0 gauge? -

That would Def work, but I dont have money to buy a battery right now The 1/0 T sounds like a Great idea, never thought about it. Thanks. But I guess my main question now is about the fuse/relay box and my stock wiring. Can I take all the stock wiring out and just replace it with my own 0 guage? and then just run an 8 gauge from the battery to the fuse box? Sorry if im being difficult, lol. -

the two 8 gauge wires on the far left spot are my stock wiring....so its a bad Idea to completely eliminate my stock wiring and just run 0 guage and leave the 8 guage + from battery to fuse box? -

Big 3...bypassing The Fuse Box?
w87will replied to w87will's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
I wanted to do that...but like I said I have no room on my battery terminal to keep the stock wire and have the 0 guage Im using for the big 3. If I upgrade everything to 0 guage but leave the + from the battery to the fuse box ( which I think is 8 guage stock) Will I be alright? or will that need to be 0 guage? -
Sorry, its probably been asked before. Im sure it has. But anyway Im going to do the Big 3 and like many cars My 01 Grand Cherokee has + from battery going to alt and also another + from battery going to the fuse box. Will it hurt anything to just take that out and run straight to the alt? Also no more room on my Battery Terminal to just ADD my big 3, I need to replace my factory wire completely.

Thats exactly what Im going to do and excactly what Im going to tell them....its their mistake. Anyway yeah I love the amp, Ive had no problems with it. I only had one hooked up to my L5's, I cant wait to hear two of them hooked up to my new 18" lvl 4's Heres a vid of my L5's hook up to just one Bxi1606d, It hit reall hard! -
I was watching the news and they interviewed a friend of the kid that was drilling the pipe. He told them acouple kids went down there because they heard a rumor that there was cash hidden in the pipe (LOL). So when they saw how small the pipe was, the other kids left cause they knew nothing was in there.....but one kid still wanted to see and drilled into it anyway and thats why all that shit happened. I live in pinellas county, so thats why I saw the news on it. Some stupid ass kids if you ask me, haha.

They had listed an 06' with the specs of an 06' (which I needed thats why I bought from them) and they send me something different.......and then they tell me I can only get a credit because "I bought a bxi1606d and I recieved a bxi1606d" Gay ass shit. -
No clue. He just told me Mass. Why? you gonna try and find him? haha. But hey, cool thanks for the advice guys. Im def only going to make that mistake once.

If 1" is the best, I could use this 1" think 24 x 9" sheet for only $30. Not bad I guess http://www.estreetplastics.com/Clear_Acryl..._Thick_s/31.htm
