I remember the old ES series...even when they tried to have an in-dash Mini Disc. The high end Sony HU's had/have some decent specs. I miss my old Alpine CDA-7844 though. Someone wanted it bad enough out of my 98 Eclipse to break the shift knob back then.

I guess it's been a few years since I've bought "custom" parts. These are very reasonably priced. I'll have to grab a set for my wife's 04 Expedition EB once the component model comes out.
