  1. well if you have front, rear, and sub outputs, just switch them around and see what happens
  2. ok man, lets see what we got here. First you have a prefab box, a sub that is getting only half its rated power, and a loose nut behind the volume control. Now don't get mad, i'm just messing around with you. First and foremost with a prefab box and half rms power, you are not going to pound. When you turn the gain up, yes your getting more output from that amp. But your going to be sending dirty power to it. And while it may pound loud for you, your gonna blow that fucker like ia chinese hooker on 2 dolla sucki sucki night. Your best bet is to build a box that is a lil bigger then spec, get some decent size port area going. When you do that your going to make that sub louder on the little bit of power you have. DO NOT turn the amp up just because it sounds better to you. Ohms law and power output is just that LAW. It's not a suggestion, there is no way around it. Getting loud in the car audio world is about test, test, and when your sick and tired of testing..............test some more. And one last thing we're all lose nuts in one way or the other.
  3. hey phils in your sig it says rear ,mounted turbo. i see you have a bov in your intake tract, BUT where is the piping to your turbo??????? All i see in that pic is a cold air tube with a bov in line
  4. my blazer was all over the map. But my 99 4dr explorer was like that. It peaked at 51hz no matter what i put in it
  5. the first box i did in mine peaked at 51, the next one peaked at 43, my buddies peaked at 58. So as you can see from everybody's responces there is no set in stone res fz. test and find out.

  18. i got fucked hardcore by them. i order a deck in feb, they shipped it 3 weeks later through ups, i paid for signature conformation, ups just left it at my house and it got stolen from my porch because no one was at home. ups took the blame, but said that dealer cost didnt insure the package. so they are only liable for $100. Robert, the sales manager from dealer cost has said several times that they will get it taken care of, yet here it is ten months later and i still dont have shit.
  19. those 1508's are as stiff as a porn stars cock at a free for all fuck convention!!!!!!! but yea dd does very much preach the break-in of there subs. but in the end its all up to who buys them, and weither there willing to take the chance of blowing them.
  20. ok then, thats just another way of breaking them in. i dont let mine or my customers break in free air. but i do tell them not to go full tilt for a few days. you should now first hand that dd subs get loud without being full tilt. the only common factor in the way people break there subs in is they dont go full tilt. You not riding around full tilt all day long is basically breaking them in. Weither you agree or not, it's true.
  21. did you break in your 9515's? even dd has a disclaimer on there web site about breaking the sub in due to the suspension being so tight. so does aq. i have seen first hand what will happen to a brand new 9515 if you crank up 1700rms into it right out of the box. The guy had to pay for a new recone. and not every company breaks them in like sundown.
