  5. no 2wd with stock tires is built for the sand unless it has sand tires or something compatible. I am sure any brand truck that is true 4x4 wouldn't have this problem. Time to trade the war pony in this will never happen to us as long as i can help it. I think if i would have aired down i might have made it easier. I had a compressor too so i coulda filled them back up. I just didn't want to have a ford, in the sand, with flat tires that is now still stuck LOL. We got it though whew! true lol i could understand that... still the ford raptor is one nice truck
  6. The suspension needs to loosen up, and get used to the fact that its been played with. That may not cause the stink, but powering it fully and overpowering it too quickly can cause that, also clipping can cause it. Granted that you dont have to let it break in, but I always found its a good idea. Just do what we said above and you should be good.
  7. set your subwoofer output to 0 tomorrow, reset gains, use dd1 again to set them, and wait for subwoofers to break in then you should be good. Like OrionStang said.
  8. if it turns on and goes away after you turn it up a little more, its not bad, thats normal, its just the variable resistor, it could possibly have anything in the process that can cause distortion, like dirt or a bit of corrosion or some sort. You only need to worry about when it stays on fully and not when it just goes on like for a bit, is the light currently on a 1/4 turn and it has the light on fully? And some times that's all it takes to make the amp run at its full power. Is there a way to clean the terminal or just leave it be and turn up the gains till I get a solid light. And the subs were brand new and have had them maybe a month but not seen a lot of heavy pounding for nearly that long The distortion light was not solid it was like a faint blip never stayed solid but I was worried to turn it up more so I don't know what to do That is fine, its just a dirty terminal, when it is a bright red is when its good, also with your other problem with the smelling a burning something, How long have you had the subs? Did you buy them brand new or used? How long have you been actually using the subs? Nah there isn't any way to clean the variable resistor, its fine just leave it be, and if your already smelling stuff, your pushing them too hard too fast, I know people tell others that you don't need to break in a subwoofer, I believe you do, i'd play it lightly to medium, don't full on blare it. Wait about another month, or at least a good 20 hours... slowly your subs will get louder and sound better and then you can push them. You also gotta set your gains on your head unit all to 0 and keep it flat then set amp to its proper level with DD1.

  11. Steve - 1 Windshield - 0 Broken Windshield count - 1 lol, steve you are going to have to put on the back of the tercel a tally mark stickers of the amount of windshields you have broken in this thing LOL.
  12. lol, Steve you always amaze me as to how you do these numbers, especially with this build, when you " are half assing it and doing to a bit right" it looks great and does great numbers as a "half assed" vehicle Jesus... for it just running off batts that aren't fully charged. If you add a strippers pole you gain 10 DB's lol.
  13. as hard as i try i still have to do things halfway right. When all said and done, if it's any good, i can "trim" it out with some panels and make it look awesome. For now, i just wanna get it all working thanks! Your work always looks nice and clean, even if you just do it half right lol. Anyways it looks awesome. Question is, how are you going to charge all of those batteries.
  14. Im wondering the same thing, these things look ridiculous, and perfect size for my new car !
