  1. I'm looking for help designing a box for 2 12's. ( https://nvx.com/vcw124-12-1000w-rms-car-subwoofer-dual-4-ohm/#other-details ) I've played around on subbox.pro but I'm not going to pretend that I know what I'm doing. So I have enough space for up to 16 inches in height and depth and 40 inches in width. I'm looking for a ported box tuned to 35hz. The manufacturer calls for 1.85 cubic feet for one, so I'm assuming 3.7 cubic feet for 2? I currently have a RF P500X1bd ( https://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p500x1bd/ ) I know its giving me less than half ideal RMS
  2. I bought a Punch p500x1bd from a friend who installed it and then ripped it right back out upon realizing his old amp wasn't broken, it was his cars electrical. He doesn't really have any respect for anything he spends money on so it has scuffs and scratches from sitting around and the cover plate for the knobs is missing, probably in the car he installed it in, which he traded in. I want to know if there is somewhere i can buy a replacement cover for the amp so it doesn't look as out of place next to my p400x4 amp which still has its cover on it. i only paid $200 for the amp and i got the
  3. Has anyone experienced this with these tweeters? The x-over was giving problems before an amp was added to the build but they went away after the amp was installed. Next day my friend calls me saying smoke was billowing from his foot-well and after much searching, this was the problem... He pulled the x-over out and had no other issues after like 30 minutes of heavy listening. Amp used is this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_71775_NVX-MVPA4.html (because its so small) No audio install tools. Level was turned to half way and he doesn't put the deck above 75% volume. Either way I'm certain
  4. I didn't put the sytem in to begin with, I've just been slowly new stuff to keep it going, but the sub amp is only pushing maybe 200 watts and probably the same for the mids and highs. I really want to do a full overhaul when I get a full time job but for now my goal is a new headunit... 5 years of wear is showing on the one I got. Thank you for the answer.
  5. Today I looked under the hood of my car because I noticed it was leaking antifreeze. While I was under there I had also noticed that my battery was looking like sh*t and the wires for power and ground haven't been replaced since 2010 when a system was first put in the car. Anyways, when I put my model and year car into XS Powers website, it gave me the D5100R. My question is what does the reverse polarity part do? I just don't know if its something that matters when it comes to putting it in my car and being done with it, like would I have to do something different? It would be a while bef
  6. So I'm in the middle of a timely process of helping my friend upgrade the audio in his car (2004 Mustang coupe w/ Mach 460). He knows absolutely nothing about any of this stuff, just that he likes the volume up rather than down. I started off by having him buy a http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_74584_Pioneer-AVH-X1600DVD.html so he could at least have clean sound (the stock 460 head unit was nothing but distortion). After that he wanted more bass, so i had him get the http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p2-2x10 with a http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_76258_Hifonics-X1000.
