There are two Powermaster 16 volt batteries- The D1000 and the S1000. They are both exactly the same size, but the D1000 is a full weight 44lbs, and the S1000 is a lightweight 33 lbs. Subsequently, the D1000 has a greater capacity and CCA.

For limited use during "wangin'", LOL, it would be OK to crank it up to 16 volts or so. You wouldn't want to do it for long though, as it will eventually overheat and dry out your batteries. That's what's so nice about having the in-dash controll, you can set it whenever and however you want. The nice part about ordering it with our alternators, is that we include the pre-wired harness for you so that it is just plug-and-play.

I have a 200 amp ProPower large case conversion kit instock on the shelf. It does 200 amps with 150 amps at idle because we use a larger late model case. It is a direct bolt in, direct plug in unit for only $449 shipped. It is made with 100% brand new components, (not rebuilt) and we even throw in the right size 1/0 cable ends!
