let me share this about women just incase you didnt already know... WOMEN ARE VINDICTIVE... they love revenge. even though it maybe something miniscule to you and you feel that you didnt do anything, when you told her your story all she heard was KISSED ANOTHER GIRL, GAVE OUT YOUR NUMBER, AND TALK ABOUT HER BEHIND HER BACK, you would be amazed at how those simple thing can become catastrophic. . be prepared that if she decides to stay with you, you will a a$$hole in her mind for at least 5-6 months and then after that you will have to earn her trust back(which is damn near impossible, you will need some sort of voodoo or magic ). if she stays with you, be humble but not a pushover... afterall you do still want her to respect you. surprise her with flowers and other things that you know she really likes. dont know if this is good or bad... but my voltage at idle is 13.86 with nothing on... no headlights, no interior lights, no radio. any suggestions

just got fifty square ft of fatmat today and i wanna know which part of the car i should deaden first... or at least which one will yield the best results. i found another thread on here and there was another member who did his trunk with fatmat but says that his system wasnt as loud as it was before

how do i determine which one is suited for my car and which one will fit

ok... i went to autozone and they said that the alt is fine and the batt charge was a little low. so they charged the batt up until it sat at 12.6. but we tested it with a dmm with the system at full blast and sure enough the batt voltage started to drop and didnt stop until we turned the system off... so now i should be getting a HO alternator in a couple of weeks. but i still want to get a bigger batt... anyone know what type i should get? not really lookin to break the bank. this is just a daily driver, i dont do comps or anything like that. like i said before, i took a look at kinetic but it was a little to high for my taste. heard of powermaster and deka but i didnt know how to determine which one of there batteries i would need for my set up... this is for the starting battery on the car if that helps at all thanks peeps

been lookin into getting a deep cycle batt... took a look on kinetics site and they suggested the hc 1400. would i do better just replacing my starting battery or adding the deep cycle as a secondary

well when i got the car jump started i let it run for about ten minutes at idle. then i turned it off and cranked it back up about three or four times and everything seemed to be fine. could it be the battery

ok... before i got my system i figured that i would need a bigger alt cuz my stock alt was only puttin out 60A at idle. so i go to autozone and pick up one of there 140A alts(this is before i knew the difference between idle and max )... get the system installed and this alt still isnt enough. been dealing with that til i get a bigger alt. but i figured that the alt will put out 70A at idle so i just keep the volumn down unless im on the freeway so i can keep the engine at a high rpm... so im drivin on the freeway last night music on full blast and im doin about 75 on the freeway(drove for about 30 min) well all of a sudden my damned lights start to dim on every tiny little bass note and my subs are nowhere near as loud as they were. so i turn the radio off and drive for another 30 minutes back home. make it back home, turn the car off, but it will not start back up... now that thirty minute drive back home should have been enough to give the battery at least a little bit of a charge. WTF. so i get a jump and the car starts like normal. now is it just me or isnt an alt supposed to charge the batt when there is no other load on it. why didnt mine charge back up? the amp is a 1606d with two 15" L5s sorry so lengthy

so i take it that running one HUGE amp like a GP3000 wouldnt be wise. im just tryin to make sure i have an alright amp for my groundpounding purposes. so right now all i should add is the deadening and the amp for the new speakers with 0 awg for the big three?

thanks guys well i already have the L5s in the trunk. but why wouldnt the L5s like a 1606d all to themselves. i always thought that having each sub on an individual amp would be best. and if i go with two 1606 amps and a txi4408 thats a combined fuse rating of 330-370 amps. will i be able to find an alternator thats big enough to hold that load. and is dampening really that vital to being a groundpounder? and if so is it just deadening the trunk or the entire car?

car: 93 cadillac subs: two 15" kicker L5s amp: hifonics 1606d big 3: done in 4guaage amp kit: knukoncepts 4 guage. first i know that i wont be a "TRUE" ground pounder because im have a trunk, but im willing to give it my best shot. 1)i was wanting to add another 1606d to my setup and just have the subs running on there own independent amps but i dont know if that will allow me to be louder or not. didnt know if i should do that or if i should just get one big amp. which option is better. 2) i plan on adding a txi4408 to drive my speakers on the inside of the car with infinity speakers in the dash and doors but if i do add the 4408 and the extra 1606d i dont know if ill be able to find an alternator to fulfill my needs. 3) other than the items mentioned above, what else can i add or do to become a groundpounder brutal honesty is appreciated

planned on gettin my new 300 amp alt from iraggi on my next check and i got a ticket FUCK THAT!!!!! cop says i was doin 62 in a 40... FUCK THAT X2 got a second ticket cuz theres a law saying that you have to change your address on your license 30 days after you move and that ticket alone is $114!!! THATS AN EXTREME FUCK THAT x3
