  1. it might cost a 100,000 Trillion!! Catch your breath, and figure out what you really want (brands/power handling/prices/electrical,etc.) not trying to be rude, but IMO you should do just a little research
  2. TOO MANY variables to tell you what to choose. Get more specific, b4 we can try to help
  3. that's the car (except it's a Marquis, not a Caprice like it says) great find man. by the looks of it, I don't know about "nearly 100 speakers" like the mag says.
  4. rides mag july/august 09 page 49. i can't find it on their site... the pic is just of the front cockpit of the car. From what I can see speakers in custom "armrest" area console, whole upper dash, and shittons on the ceiling. I'm wondering what kind of bass would match just these, let alone the rest of the cars speakers. looks like you can't sit it in at high volume NOBODY has this mag. issue??
  5. this was at the King of Kings Easter Car Show at South Georgia Motorsports Park. Has anybody ever heard this in person?
  6. pay a very small fee and have someone here design it for you

  12. i broke down and made a "custom" pipe using 1 1/2" pvc. The pipe was 2' long and I cut off about 2", then added a long 90 degree "connector" piece. My hole was a little off as MY TOOLS=FAIL. I "patched up around the entry of the pipe into the filter area, using a shitton of Gorilla Tape (front and back until the taped area was seemingly as strong as the plastic housing). The pipe at this length allowed me the option of directing the other end just above the splashguard and seems to be fine. I spray-painted black to match the motor. Believe it or not, it sounds a TAD bit louder at certain speeds, and seems to make my car shift slightly faster (automatic 4.6). To me it sounds like the car runs smoother in general, like it's not drone anymore, it's now TONE. Overall I'm happy with the custom hoodwerk

dude, it looks like it's bright as hell outside, and weird angle or not, that's gotta be a challenge to drive. I have 5% all around, and it can be fun at night. I can't imagine you drive like this all the time. Be careful man. Looks good though
  14. this is $240... didn't want to spend that kind of money. I'd rather spend it on audio.... http://www.buybrakes.com/store/AFE-54-10751 would this be THAT MUCH BETTER than the "Swiss cheese" idea??
  15. k&n doesn't make an intake for my car..anyone know where I can find 1?
  16. anybody know of a site that MIGHT sell the intake for my car?? there's not as many upgrades for a Crown Vic/Marquis as I would like..
  17. good answers and opinions to my questions.. I'm going to try it, but like I said, if it's boo boo, I'm gonna make it stock and just buy the kit. Thanks for the help SOLO
  18. i have a K&N filter that you can "clean".. this is on a 94 Grand Marquis. It has a short "tube" that looks like an Aero port coming out of the Filter housing facing toward the front grill. I went to the junkyard and bought the lower half of another Filter housing, which came with the "tube". I was thinking of just cutting a hole in the first housing, and adding the tube, thus using twu tubes in one housing. Only place for the second tube would be facing toward motor, making temperature a reality. Worst case, I try this, and it doesn't work as desired, I just use the second housing (unmodified, with only 1 hole). I'm getting anxious, because I won't see my friend with the drill bit I need til Monday. I have duel flowmasters in H-Pipe turndowns in middle of undercarriage. What increases, if any, can I expect if this "works?
  19. i was told that "cutting" holes into the bottom of the air filter housing (not the air filter itself), would allow it to breath more, thus giving me more sound, and possibly better performance. Has anyone ever done/seen this done? If so, how effective could it be, and is there a point where too much added air might cause the car to bog down?
