  1. As some of you might have been reading my prior posts, I have been building a 2 18" Fi BL setup, and yesterday, was the first time my new BL's saw power, as my amp came in. I have noticed something even before the speakers saw there very first WATT of power. If you gently push the cone in on the speakers, 1 has a slightly stiffer feel, and the other feels slightly looser. I have about 30 minutes of music time on them now, between playing some real low notes, and normal listen levels, the speakers feel the same still, 1 loose, 1 stiffer (or in other words "LESS" loose) They sound fine to me, plays loud and clean......... I have emailed Fi, and am awaiting a response from them, and my local stereo shop seems to think that after about 10-20 hours of "breakin time" the suspensions will even out, but this is just bothering the hell out of me, and am looking for a solid answer (if possible). Many thanks,
  2. Here are some pictures of my newly received MD3D. I loving this 22"s of USAmp love! It is nice to see USAmps went back to the "OLD" style chassis and plexi bottom
  3. Dude, here is the amp, I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but you must have been wrong..... http://www.usamps.com/md_amps.html
  4. It is certainly NOT A 4 channel amp, not a 2 channel amp, only a mono amp. Dont have it in my hands yet (waiting for UPS now) but from pics i've seen of it, it has 2 pos, and 2 negs
  5. One other question: This is a mono d class amp, why are there 4 speaker connections? What is the proper way to wire this up if I only have 1 positive and 1 negitive wire?
  6. I have a US Amps MD3D coming tomorrow and was just trying to gather some info as to where to set the Frequency adjustment at, Sub-Sonic filter at, etc... This will be for my 2 18BL's loaded, in my 16cuft box Tuned to ~34hz... Thanks....
  7. sure it does, go to the order form.
  8. Here is the AMP I would use for that budget (Hell even will save you money) AudioQue makes good quality amps, and some have even benched higher then the rated RMS.... I have spent WEEKS researching amp for my 2 18" BL's and finally settled for a MD3D US AMPS, however that is slightly out of your budget, and to much power for just 1 driver. Here are the audioque links for you to see them. Also, im assuming you will be wiring your 1 15" to 1ohm, and not 4ohm? http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQamps.htm (1200watt @ 1ohm) http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQamps2200D.htm (2200watt @ 1ohm)
  9. First off, why are you getting rid of your BL's? Secondly, I vote for 10-12 ported tuned LOW.
  10. That is my action that I just won! By the pic you still cant see the power/ground connections though
  11. here http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_c...sp?Q=2&I=12
  12. 2 different casings. ACCORDMAN might know the answer to this:
  13. This is the style version im talking about..... http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=5362
  14. Thanks for tryin! Based of that pic, can someone tell me if the newer model uses the same power/ground connections?
  15. I'm hoping someone has a picture of the US AMP MD3D (08 model which looks like the old school us models) on the power input side of the amp? Does it use the type where you just screw down a set screw, or does it use the old school type like my older US200 & US100 models? I've searched google and many websites and cant find this picture on the 08 model. I've seen the pictures of the 06/07 model which looks a square with black sides. THanks.....
  16. back into wellington, you close?
  17. Sir, As soon as I get all moved into my house in sunny s. florida, I'll show you the pics of the install and the box complete. Appreciate everything you have done to help me out with this adventure. Can't wait for this amp to be in my hands. Something about US AMP's that makes me excited.......Maybe all those sweet high school days back when US AMPS was the cats ass. You tell someone you have a VLX400, and they respond, "the only way I can come close to the VLX400 is taking viagra LOL!" Those were the days..............................
  18. I hate to jump the gun and say this, but I think I bought this from the best seller on EBAY! He paid for it to have 3 day shipping, and this morning @ 8:17am I had my UPS tracking number, and will be here Wednesday. I asked him for the shipping upgrade cause this Saturday im moving back to S.Florida and I really needed this amp to ship and be in my hands within this week... He meet my demands and then some. Now i'm just waiting patiently to see how it functions, and looks....... Wish me luck, my first ebay "BUYING" experience ever.
  19. Wow dude, so far in your 2 posts, you have shared no knowledge within answering to my topic question, NOR have you been helpful in anyway. I'm not one for "acting" like a BIG MAN hiding behind my "TYPED TEXT" but just stay out of this thread unless your going to be helpful.
  20. Wow, now that is really helpful!
  21. OK, here are my choices for fuses that I have laying around my garage; 200amp ANL, 250AMP ANL, which would you use? This will be going into a 0ga input 0ga output Stinger inline ANL fuse block.
