  1. Question: What inline fuse rating would you use for this amp? I have a 200amp ANL setup I can use, would that work? Also, why do amps have those little fuses in them, if they also need to be fused externally?
  2. Bought it! Now lets hope the amp comes in mint condition like it states!
  3. Is it worth it to get this amp over the AQ2200D? (God only knows when AQ will get this back into stock!)
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/US-AMPS-Merlin-MD3D_W0...1QQcmdZViewItem Will buy it, if you can help me decide if this will be a good match for my 2 BL's loaded..... Is it a D class amp? Thanks
  5. I've been waiting for AudioQue to get these back in stock, but patience is falling short now. I've been on wait for 6 weeks now, and no long want to wait! Anyone have or know where I can get a AQ2200D amp, or equivalent? No "Hifonics", "power acoustics", etc.... amps. I will consider MTX, RF, but really want an AQ2200D. Thanks fellas...... I have monies ready to buy, and shipping would almost have to be either next day, or 2 day air, I will of course pay, or maybe we can work something out
  6. If you dont mind me asking, but why are you a BL hater
  7. The Q's will be more "musical" and giving them 1500Watts, although is ok, the BL's "loaded" would take this abuse all day long, and might fit your needs better......... Use your Q's that you have coming, if you dont like it, sell em, and get BL's...No worries though, im sure the Q's will satisfy you.
  8. is this amp 1ohm stable? If so, I might have my next amp!
  9. ok, thank you sir...... I have 15ft of spare 4ga, I could run 1 run of this from front batt to rear batt, would this do anything for me?
  10. Is it recommended to do 2 runs of 1/0ga from ALT to BATT, or is 1 run just the same? Also, I am going to run 2 runs of 1/0ga to the rear batt, but do I also run 2 runs of ground, and power to the other rear batt. (Rear batts are wired together obviously. Just a little confussed, but im sure you all will fix me straight.
  11. Guys, I made a wiring diagram to see if I will be wiring up my Tahoe properly. Can you look at it and tell me if there is anything wrong with it? So far this is just for my SUB amp, currently the door speakers will be left out for the time being (yuck!) as the HU is powering them for the next 2-3 weeks till the new 4x90 audioque amp is out. Appreciate the time fellas........
  12. OK, I just wont use a fuse, the wire will only be 1foot in length, and in a place where nothing can bother it, it will be just fine! Thanks this just saved me $20 bucks!. How about fuse ratings for running 2 runs of 0/1ga to the rear batts? What fuse size would you use? Thanks
  13. Ok, so according to you only the BTL is a "pounding" sub, and the BL's blow donkey dick . Wow! I hope when ever I buy an amp to power these 2 18BL's next to me, im **NOT** agreeing with you....
  14. This is the exact wire I bought (full spool of 50FT) (http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=RMAX1R50&Product_Count=1) all this wire will be installed in my 02 tahoe, and my question is, do you think 50FT will be enough for 2 runs from front batt to rear batt? I will have 2 batts in rear (HC800 kenetics) do I also do 2 runs of (+) to each batt in rear (will be short ass runs, as the batts will be next to each other) Is there a wire diagram that can help me here. Im a smart guy, and can learn to wire anything, but I would hate to fuck this up if I wire something wrong, so if someone can assit me here, that would be awesome.
  15. I'll be installing all my power wire/ground wire, etc.... this week, and might as well go and do the bigIII while im at it, so I was wondering what size fuse to go inline from the ALT, to the BATT? My alt (currently will be using stock 145amp alt) is very close to the batt, so should I do 2 runs of 0GA or is just 1 run ok? Thanks.....
  16. I love this forum! looks clean, nice job. **EDIT** I mean love this fucking forum LOL!
  17. So the end result will be 8 bolts sticking out correct? Then just make little jumper wires with eyelets on the ends to jump from stud to stud?
  18. About to install the subs, and before I do, I would like to make the connections like most of you do and use pass thru bolts. I just went and bought 8 brass 1/4thread x 1 1/2 long bolts and was hoping someone can clue me in on the wiring of it. Do I do a bolt for each V.C, meaning that do I just run a wire from one terminal to a bolt, so each sub will utilize 4 bolts? And just make my connections using eyelets on the outside of the case? If I do it this way, this will use all 8 bolts (thats why I bought or do I just wire the subs inside the box, then just use 2 bolts for the external connections? Thanks Any pics I can see of someones install
