  6. i tried a bunch of differnet combos. it said i would need 4 3' diameter, 8 inch long ports for a tuning of 33 hz. that doesnt seem like enough port area though. i guess ill just keep trying differnt combos and see what works. thanks for all your help broski.
  7. according to the psp inc calculator, to get my box tuned to 33 hz, i would need 2 6 inch aeros 20 inches long. would that give me enough port area?
  8. i bought 3 inch indtead of 4 inch pvc to make my ports. instead of 3 4 inch diameter, 18 inch long ports, i ended up with 3 3 inch diamter 18 inch long ports.
  9. it looks like im going back to home depot with a tape measure and gettin some 5 inch pvc. would my tuning change if made the ports longer or would it just add port area? sorry for all the questions.
  10. The box is 5 cubes before displacement according the re calc. So i would need each of them to be 45 inches long? theres no way i could fit that in the trunk.
  11. or what would i need for like 34-35 hz?
  12. Thats still pretty low. I guess its back to home depot for some more pvc. what would 2 6 inch aeros give me?
  13. wow thats reatarded low. what if i added another port?
  14. I built a box and went the aero port route. I bought what i thought was 4 inch pvc until i got home and measured it. turns out its 3 1/2 inch outer and 3 inch inner diameter. When I first inquired about aero ports, someone told me i would need 3 4 inch ports 18 inches long. i have 3 3 inch aero ports instead. Box dimensions and 12' high, 29' wide and 36' deep. Anyone know what im tuned to? The sub is an AQ HDC3 18.
  15. Congrats brotha. If it wasnt for my paychecks and lack of other jobs, i deffinately wouldnt be doing what im doing.
  16. That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks brotha.
  17. This is the general idea I want.
  18. Anyone? A quick sketch would be great too.
  19. That doesnt really help. I was more so asking how big around i would need. Like 2 6 inch ports, etc.
  20. For my next box I want to use aero ports. Only problem is I never have before. I want something tuned to right around 35ish hz. The box dimensions are 26' wide, 14' high, and 25' deep. What size ports and how many of them would I need? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  21. I have a CEN matrix FRE 1/8th scale buggy that's just taking up space. This is the kit version. Not the rtr. I have almost every machined aluminum upgrade made for it. including shock towers, hinge pin braces, chassis braces and a bunch of other stuff. I also have jammin big bore shocks along with a set of CEN piggyback shocks. it will come with a novarossi P5 motor, novarossi 9886 pipe and a werks adjustable clutch. The car will come with 3 boxes of stuff. 1 has extra diffs and shocks among other things. 1 is a box with mostly nip parts. the last box has 5 sets of tires and bunch of bottles of diff and shock fluid. THE CAR IS NOT READY TO RUN! You will need radio gear and a starter box. Now onto the pics. The buggy. The nip parts. the tires and oils. The shock and diff stuff. Only trades would be a decent set of 10s or 12s, an amp, and wires. Otherwise, I'm looking for 350 plus shipping. I have right around 1000 invested in what's pictured so im taking a loss. either pm me or post here with any questions or offers.
  22. get an audioque hdc3 15. you wont be disappointed.
  23. dont use terminalals. put ring terminals on the wires going to the box and use bolts. thats how i always do it and its alot easier.
