well you make the amp so nice how could i go wrong?

mine personally or them in general... they usually come with the inverted dustcap but i went with the boob style bc i like them better and FI hooked it up

hells yes... the lows are where its at. Ya i'm going to get it all done nice eventually but right now cash it tight and im going to get a new HU and tweet amp soon but after that sealing off that box will be next.

what do you have running that 18 now?

well worth it. its not a conventional bass boost. its just a gain reduction. So i have the gain on the amp adjusted to listen to it loud but most of the time i listen to it quieter then its max. Pretty much same thinking as meade and his knob just not as loud

looks like they added 2 not 1 mosfet and just because the circle for the cap is there doesnt mean theres anything connected. Regardless lets assume it would work you wouldnt make enough extra power to warrant anything. what an extra 50w if ur lucky

right a cheater amp is just an amp rated wrong or somehow gives out more power then commonly known. example older fosgates that put out double rated power. and beefing up the Mosfets doesnt get you more power. A mosfet is like a car wheel. if they dont break going with something beefier is pointless

lol any amp can be Modded but dont mean it does anything. Good example a certain mmats has the gigantic cap added on (factory mod) and it does increas power output but a modded rockford fosgate 1501bd usually just has the protection taken off so it can be used at 1 ohm. But what i was getting at is any change from factory is considered a mod but you cant by a vr3 walmart amp and mod it into a T40001bd or audison

essh those caps are way to big. i can see them on the 18s but we got the 8" cap on a 15 to check it out and i didnt like it

lol i should have put at least like i originally planned... but yes i didnt calculate any overly long customs times or amp building times but my point is the same regardless. Jacob cant sell amps he doesn't have in the USA because forum people especially get all ansy and if they dont have the product the second they order it even when a company states they are having delays or it will take a certain amount of time. It just doesn't work and most importantly sundown has an awesome name and even assuming people were 100% aware of the situation it would be to much of a gamble for jacob to go thru.

lol its not quite that easy to buy say 200 amps from china. I doubt he makes enough to have that cash on hand. remember it takes ~ up to 10days depending on what shipping you pay for to get stuff from china

just hit up jacob and the remote should be the same as the supply voltage. Lol i would have never guessed that as an issue and without this thread i wouldnt have questioned it. Im not sure if thats the case with the fusion but im assuming so

ya i know... You cant run 16v thru the entire car. So if you had a HC16v and used one post for the system and one for the car, or a step down module or we the car would still be 12v. Since HU's arent 16v stable and they are wired thru the car harness in 99% of cases the HU is still 12v. Even assuming it was 16v and worked not sure if it would then put 16v on the remote output. So Unless im completely off base the only correct way to get a 16v remote is to wire a relay to the 16v power source. TO clarify my setup is a second electrical system. Ohio gen with an external regulator at 18.4, 2 HC16v batteries but the remote to my sub amp is off the HU so its not at 16v in any way shape or form.

huh... i wonder if thats the issue with my sundown. Its not going into protect thou. Did the voltage drop quite a bit on the remote prior to going 16v?

how do u get a 16v remote wire other then intentionally wiring up a relay so its 16v?

wouldnt the remote be at 12v anyways?
