Hardly have enough airspace for 4 15's let alone 4 18's. It seems like i change something major every 6 months.
-
Nothings really "wrong" with the 2 18's. ive just had that setup for awhile now and i feel its time for change. I just dont wanna lose anything by switching out to 4 15's
-
Thanks for the input...Ill quit second guessing myself now
-
Plan on selling the btls today...Any suggestions would be awesome!

OOPS! meant 4 ssd 15's!

both setups powered by 2 hifonics 2610's in a 12cube box tuned to 35.

Ok so im trying to make my final decision on selling my 2 btl 18s and switching out to 4 ssd 15s. Im not looking to hit big numbers, just be a louder daily set up. Im thinkin more cone area, more motors...should be louder. But is quanity really over quality in this case? I just want some second opinions that im not making a terrible desicion.

-
Yeah it seems that way.
-
If we dont figure it out tomorrow ill post a video of em.

The box is pretty odd shaped, we glassed the spair tire well and other parts to gain airspace.
-
Cant be outta phase...all the wiring is correct. just checked. they all hit the same on the higher notes but when it gets down into the 30's thats when they act up.
-
Any other ideas?
-
Could the box be too big and theres no cone control at higher spl levels.
-
Single chamber.
-
Definitely visual. Theyre way off but only at higher volumes. all wired to one amp.
-
A buddy of mine has 8 Re 8's in a 7 cube box tuned to 35hz. At normal volume the subs seem to all move together but when you crank it a bit they all do their own thing. Theyre single 4 ohms. Each pair is wired up to 8ohms, then down to 4 and down to 2ohms at the amp. Any ideas why they would do this?
