  1. Well I will start first with I work at a local shop in Flint, Michigan. I talked the managers and boss into letting me start a Facebook page if I update it and do how-to videos to get us out and known a little better, plus I enjoy car electronics. Here is our Facebook page like it up to get updates posted straight to your feed. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dukes-Car-Stereo/150004545107229 But now to the video. Now tell me what I need to do to better these videos, 9 times out of 10 I'm going to be all on my own with holding the camera and doing the install. Also I only feel comfortable doing them on saturdays because everyone else at my work thinks its just the stupidest thing I could do and miss with the videos by screaming stuff while I am recording. But all comments are wanted and welcome! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dukes-Car-Stereo/150004545107229
  2. needless to say im already planing on changing it after i had some 3/4 all thread and if that dont work then imma take out the 18's and put 4 T1 12's the cone area is close but not perfect.
  3. Yeah I'm with him. Shit it looks like if the plastic is still on the hatch that it would be touching the box.
  4. yeah but then again there not the highest end subs so idk how they would perform ported.
  5. I worked in a shop, 8 years until two months ago. So I was speaking from a shop point of view \and where talking about flint where the last time my shop built a box was like 10 years ago... no one has money to do it and we charge that much for all materials from wood to glue screws carpet terminal cups and we get payed based off labor not hourly so i dont make one dime if we didnt charge enough
  6. you doing ported or sealed and whats the specs on the box you have now?
  7. totally with djcrush on that one. if i didnt work at dukes i would hands down help out 9 times out of 10 for free just to have someone to hang and get to know but they told me no side jobs or ill lose my job... id still like working there lmao.
  8. that is expensive but that for a shop to do it and carpet and all the materials then the labor also.
  9. i work in flint. at dukes on dort highway. and only 200 for an 8 12 box is retarted cheep. if it was done through my work you'd look at like 800 to 1200. with a warranty, 800 sealed and 1200 atlease ported. if a true shop does it and will back it up its going to be well over 200 hands down
  10. i love me t lines!!!!!! only kind of box i like to build, some of the best if u ask me. so clean and loud for how little of power they need
  11. So a little bit ago my girl said she wanted more bump in her car. The video describes it all.
  12. you need to have some videos and pics up of your build. not only so ppl can see and enjoy but so people can help out with things that you can do to better your installs. and btw that thing was loud and no one at work expected it.

  13. one good thing with working on new cars is that you know that its new so no one has been in there braking panels or missing with wires. and the chances of the car being trashed by the costumer is less too.
  14. Come on guys it will only take a few mins to like it up. Then you will have the enjoyment of how to's on select jobs.
  15. So I'm one of those installers that actually enjoys my job. I had seen that we have a Facebook and no one every updates it. So after some talking and pulling strings they let me start one for out location. Some of the things that I plan on doing with this is doing some kind of monthly or maybe weekly update pics and videos on how to's for remote starts on cars. To how we install different radios and systems in cars. Manly right now it is going to be remote starts in cars seeing this is out busy season with tons of remote starts to be installed. The videos are going to be a range from the common Chevy truck to new 2011 to 2012 cars. Now for the pleading and begging of you to like the page and share it with your friends to see if i can get some followers. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dukes-Car-Stereo/150004545107229 Thank you everybody.
