  1. im the one doing the build. as soon as i get all of the equipment in and the rest of the cash to get everything else, i will get one started.
  2. x2. always measure more than you think you should. you'll always find something a little off. good luck on the build man.
  3. i posted it in the original post, but 2 audioque 3500d, one for each woofer.
  4. it wont cause the stock alt to over work in any will it? if this was my truck i would be running two h.o. alts, but its one of my friends. hopefully when he gets the cash he will throw another a ho alt on.
  5. ok sweet. i was pretty sure that was the way to do it but just wanted to make sure. do you think that alt and battery setup will be efficient enough for the sub/amp setup? and what amount of wire should i run back to the battery bank?
  6. ok i am going to be running an iraggi 300a alt along with my stock alt on my 2003 silverado ext cab pickup. would it be best to run the truck off of the stock alt and the system off of the 300 a? the setup that i am going to be running is 2 fi btl 18s, 2 audioque 3500d, and at least 4 kinetik 2400s or 4 powermaster 3100s. advice and comments will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advanced.
  7. ok but for the most part that port is correct then? i have enough room in the truck to make up for the lost airspace used by bracing.
  8. thats similar to my calc. i was getting around 20 inches.
  9. ive never heard that. i thought a slot port was essentially just a rectangle port.
  10. how does that port provide that tuning? when i calculate it, i get that it needs to be around 20 inches in length.
  11. well the truck is the 03 body style and has the two half doors on the back. so i have a little more room than you do i think. and i plan on bracing the box like crazy and using glass/resin on the inside. and i was definitely going to do the double or triple baffle, most likely the triple. i am looking for at least 150+ so i hope you are right.
  12. yea i understand what you mean. its going in a 2003 ext cab silverado, and thats all im looking for, just a close guess. im probably going to work towards the specs you suggested.
  13. i use the one on rockfords website most of the time. here is the link http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/box_wizard.asp
  14. ok. i think at the moment its around 7ft^3 per sub and tuned to 35hz. i got my port area with the ol 16 in^2 per ft^3 calculation. any idea on possible dB?
  15. i am currently working on design a box design for 2 Fi BTL 18s. The box is roughly around 14-15ft^3 after port and woofer displacement. this is going in a 2003 ext cab silverado. here is what i designed in sketchup. going to be running a audioque 3500d to each. dual alts and 2 kinitek 2400s in the back. box dimensions are 24"x24"x57" with 18.5"x12" port opening with a depth of 20". the box height may change a little but not much. just looking to see if everything seems pretty close. any comments will be appreciated. i know this is my first post here, but ive been on here and some other forums for a while. thanks in advance. couldnt get the pic to work, so go to this please
